Create a gorgeous festive wreath to adorn your home this winter, under the expert guidance of the wonderfully talented Bex, aka @Botanical_Tales (this lady's insta grid is a thing of beauty, check it out to see what a treat you'd be in for).
Bex creates unique, asymmetrical and natural looking wreaths using a variety of dry flowers and foliage.
We had a lovely evening learning the (very tricky!) art of modern calligraphy, with our tutor Leanda, aka @fineletterco.
We learnt the basic skills and techniques needed to create this elegant style of writing and how to use the tools. At the end of the workshop, we had the knowledge required to go away and improve upon our newfound skill. A full starter kit including a pen, nib and ink and worksheets are yours to keep.
Renee Canter, @akathegirlwhogardens, a local (and fabulous!) garden designer, came to share her knowledge and passion for all things botanical by way of a Terrarium workshop! She provided us with all the materials, plants, guidance and a lovely lidded glass terrarium to take away our garden in a vessel. This was a small workshop with just 6 students, so it was held in my kitchen, but it was just as enjoyable and we had a lot of fun getting our hands dirty! Thanks Crafty Mothers, and Renee!
This was a relaxed, fun and informal class, introducing us to the art of hand embroidery under the guidance of the BRILLIANT Ruth, aka Wildfloss. We explored colour, created texture and developed shapes using a wide variety of yarns, threads and beads. We worked on a 7” wooden hoop, which we took home to finish and hang.
Sara of Cloud Nine Knits provided an excellent workshop and all the instruction and guidance we needed to create an arm knitted throw in just 2 hours. Super popular workshop, Sara will be back!
This two hour workshop was led by Jenny of Mama Threads London. We learnt 3 very important macrame knots and techniques, and Jenny guided us seamlessly through the creation of our very own plant hangers, which were all amazing, obviously!
